So I've been giving this a little bit of thought since a few responses I've gotten seem a bit... meh. reaching?

Suddenly pinning him is a giant Hispo-formed Chione, who takes a moment to let out a battlecry directly over his features.

This to me, doesn't mean "oh hey guys I let out this huge massive, we're under attack and everyone pay attention" yell.

It means I yelled in his face a threat about being my own enemy. And, given the nature of the scene, I'm willing to defend that it was likely a very fierce, personally-named enemy/threat. (ie, Josh.)

Sure, people are going to hear it and probably come running. But IMHO, people declaring that it was some indication that we were under attack simply by using the nature of her yell is something I don't agree with. We're emotive creatures IC; hows carry minutes of accomplishments, introductions and rights. A Hispo yell at someone's face directed at them I would imagine can carry specifics (and, slap me on the wrist for not being more specific. I sometimes don't come off the way I am meant to come off to others.)

I just want to clarify that it wasn't but for the echoes of the whole happenstance, a bawn-wide yell. It was concentrated and imho, very specific. If that's a problem, I'd appreciate some off-list conversation, but it's driven me a little batty in the last little bit here.

thanks,

-Bonnie

There are specfifc howls lists in the main book. There is a specfic howl to call Garou to battle. However, it may benefit everyone to specify what the battlecry is for so there is no misunderstanding.

thumbs up on my end. I don't read the book (hand-slap me) so I will be going to bury my face in that.

thanks, Kasey!
