Regarding headshots Empty Regarding headshots

This is going to sound like I'm being funny, but I'm not.

If my character puts his gun to his own head & pulls the trigger, what happens? More importantly, what will he expect to happen based on common knowledge amongst the Garou?

It would stand to reason that many Garou could take a shot to the head and keep going, particularly if they are in a form that allows regeneration.

If a Homid Garou in breed form wants to off himself with a gunshot to the head, I'm unlikely to stand in the way of letting it happen; however, I might be more comfortable ruling an automatic drop to Mortally Wounded with the normal rules for bleeding out from there. This would be an odd situation, to say the least, so an on the spot Storyteller ruling would likely rule the day if it arose.

I like that as a general rule... I played in a DnD game once where a character tried to off himself and the GM made him roll a die to hit and then a damage die... it would suck to have to burn through all your own health levels to do something like that.

I just don't want any ad hoc self-kill rules to be translated over to attacks on other individuals. These two activities will never be ruled the same way.

I was weighing my options if I needed to get rid of someone to help protect the Caern.

Cal gets the mortal to meet him in an alley somewhere. - BAM! -

"He's dead!" (Cal watches them walk away, then snickers & gets up to leave.)

(The mortals come back later with the police.) "What did you say happened here?"

(Mortal looks confused.) "You don't understand, he was RIGHT HERE!"

(Cal walks in.) "I had a report of a homicide?"

(Mortal goes into panic.) "That's the guy! He shot himself!"

(Cal watches as the other officers take the mortal in for a psych evaluation.)

Well, that was easy. Time to go collect some Renown.
