Nine Dead in Shootout at Tenement B
The afternoon of March 21 proved to be a fateful day for the residents of a public housing district on the south side of Lancaster. Eight men were killed in, what is assumed to be, gang related violence when a fire fight broke out in front of the districts largest public housing building.
“It’s not a very good neighborhood to begin with. Police rarely make rounds out there and when we get a call like this, it takes awhile to mobilize a proper force”, reports Office Dean Bradley.
It has taken over a week for any significant information to filter through but witnesses have stated that a blue pickup truck and a silver sedan fled the scene.
“I dunno man. One second I was staring down the barrel of some cowboy’s gun, the next this car flew out of nowhere and hit us. When I opened my eyes there was this freaky cat that looked like he was straight out of “Dances with Wolves” and this other cat that looked like he was from the Godfather.” Two men who were hospitalized for injuries, reported.
In the same day of the shootout, the Superintendent of the tenement was found dead in the emergency stairwell. Witnesses report that they saw two men flee to the rooftop. One wore a large Toledo University sweatshirt, the other was, what appeared to be an Albino African American man. Investigations have shown that the victim, 45 year old Cheyenne Mae Johnson, was brutally beaten and repeatedly cut and stabbed with very large knives.
Police are on the lookout for any information pertaining to the brutal murder of Ms. Johnson as well as any information pertaining to the shootout.
