Character Sheets:

  1. After your first game you will turn your character sheet in to Matt (or another ST if he's not at game for some reason) so it can be entered into the database.
  2. At the next game you will be handed a new copy of your sheet that will be stamped if you need it. Otherwise we will stamp the new sheet you bring as long as it matches what we have.
  3. If you travel, it will be your responsibility to bring a stamped sheet. If you do not have one, the Storytellers of the game you visit are not obligated to let you play your character. Wyld Prophets Storytellers will no longer be approving sheets on the spot when they are present at a game you are visiting. There may be exceptions in an emergency, but these will be addressed on a case-by-case basis.
  4. If you would like a copy of your sheet e-mailed to you, we will happily do so. Just e-mail us the request and it will be taken care of.
  5. If you need a new hard copy of your sheet after your second game, e-mail us your request by the Wednesday before the next Wyld Prophets game and we will provide a sheet for the cost of $1.00 (to help cover the cost of ink and paper).

Experience Earning Procedures *UPDATED: Please read*:

  1. You will earn 3 XP for attending Wyld Prophets as long as you sign in and are actively participating for at least half the game.
  2. Sometimes we will give out additional XP for good roleplaying. We will take nominations and then the Storytellers will give out the points as they see fit.
  3. At the end of the month, a maximum of 2 additional XP is available for consistent roleplay on the message board. This XP is given at Storyteller discretion and will only be awarded if the staff is contacted for confirmation that the points were earned.
  4. If you visit other games, understand that XP earned is given by Wyld Prophets, not by the chronicle you visit. We will be happy to review recommendations from the game's Storytelling staff and will often honor good roleplaying points if given to you by that game.
  5. In order to receive your points from visiting another game, you will need to obtain a signed card from the Storytellers of that game and it must include a date of the game that you visited. Alternatively, an e-mail from the ST of the game you visited will serve as acceptable confirmation.

Experience Spending Procedures:
Expenditures will be accepted any time until the end of the Wednesday before a Wyld Prophets game. If you make expenditures after that time those purchases will not be available to you until the next game.

Expenditures can be made in the following ways:

  1. E-mail
  2. In person at the end of game. This option is only available if you do not have access to e-mail.

We will not accept expenditures handed in on your character sheet.

You may not apply XP earned at games other than Wyld Prophets until a Wyld Prophets storyteller has received the signed index card or the ST e-mail verifying what was earned at that game.

Experience Spending Limitations *ADDED 10/17: Please read*:

Within each expenditure period (starting after a Wyld Prophets game and ending on the Wednesday before the next game), please note these guidelines regarding how XP can be spent.

  1. Tempers - No more than 1 of each temper (Rage, Gnosis, Willpower) may be purchased at a cost of 3 XP each.
  2. Traits - No more than 1 trait from each category (Physical, Social, Mental) at a cost of 1 XP each.
  3. Negative Traits - No more than 1 trait may be removed from each category at a cost of 2 XP each.
  4. Abilities - Multiple abilities may be purchased but no more than 1 level of any specific ability at a cost of 1 XP each. Please note that the fifth level of any ability and any obscure abilities/lores may require additional RP or justification for approval. If you are unsure, please ask the ST staff.

    1. For the Linguistics ability, the first level gives you one language beyond your starting language. The second level gives you one more, the third gives you two more, the fourth gives you four, and the fifth gives you eight, totaling a possible 16 languages beyond your starting language.
    2. Garou Glyphs is a language that falls under the Linguistics ability.

  5. Backgrounds/Influences - Multiple backgrounds and influences may be purchased but no more than 1 level of those backgrounds and influences at a cost of 1 XP each. Please note that all influences and higher levels of backgrounds may require additional RP or justification for approval. If you are unsure, please ask the ST staff.
  6. Merits - May only be purchased with Storyteller approval and will nearly always involve RP and justification first. If approved, merits cost twice the listed cost.
  7. Gifts - No more than 1 gift of a rank-appropriate level from each grouping category (Breed, Auspice, Tribe) per expenditure period.

    1. If the gift is in-grouping and comes directly from Laws of the Wild than no additional RP or justification is needed.
    2. If the gift is in-grouping but comes from another source either at-game RP or a small amount of written justification (a paragraph or two describing how you go about seeking and learning the gift) will be required.
    3. If the gift is out-of-grouping you will need to be one rank higher than the normal rank required (Fostern for basic, Athro for intermediate, and Advanced is unavailable) and in-depth scenes will be needed wherein the process of earning and learning the gift is followed from start to finish. Out-of-grouping gifts cost 1 more XP than in-grouping gifts.

  8. Rites - As long as you have a PC teacher (or Mentor background), rites are limited only by learning times and what level of rite you can learn. They cost 0 XP in those cases. If you have no IC teacher, XP will be needed and the same restrictions will apply. Please note that we will not approve the learning of rites without confirmation from the teacher. If that confirmation isn't received by our deadline the learning will have to be pushed back to the next spending period.

    1. Minor rites - 3 day learning period, Garou of any rank can learn, 1 XP if no PC teacher or Mentor background, 1 level of the Rituals ability needed to perform.
    2. Basic rites - 1 week learning period, Garou of Cliath rank or higher can learn, 2 XP if no PC teacher or Mentor background, 1 level of the Rituals ability needed to perform.
    3. Intermediate rites - 3 week learning period, Garou of Adren rank or higher can learn, 4 XP if no PC teacher or Mentor background, 2 levels of the Rituals ability needed to perform.
    4. Advanced rites - 5 week learning period, Garou of Elder rank can learn, 6 XP if no PC teacher or Mentor background, 3 levels of the Rituals ability needed to perform.
